American Contemporary Ballet. Day 7

The three hours of music rehearsals and costume sewing we’re coming up quickly and I headed to the performance location to do another shoot before the intense weekend of two performances for three days in a row. For me this meant working all weekend on top of everything else. We did two more runs of the full ballet and worked on some individual piece here and there. It’s amazing how out of the thirty minutes of ballet everyone can immediately understand which section is being rehearsed just by one single move or (5-6-7-8). I know nothing about ballet terms, but this craftsmanship of breaking complex work into split-second moves deserves special recognition. Take a look at the photos from the last day of rehearsals.
